Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Property

I am going to get married soon. I own property in a foreign country including a house, a car and bank accounts. I inherited or earned all this long before I met my future wife.

We have been living together for 1 year, we have an apartment rented and we bought furniture. We do not have any joint bank accounts or other property.

What would be considered as marital property and what is going to be devided among us?

Just in case! I hope, it will never happen. Thanks!

Re: Property

If you are so concerned then you should get a pre-nup agreement. This will clarify all your and your future wife's intentions. You may contact my office to set up a consultation.
