Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Getting protection for a child I don't have coustody of.

My ex has sole coustody of our daughter and her new boyfriend has called me and made threats against me and my daughter (saying he has control of the situation and I can't do anything to stop him). My ex won't listen despite my having recorded the phone call, threats and all. Is there a way to ask the courts to protect my daughter even though I don't have coustody?

Well if there is a concern for your daughter's safety then you should be petitioning for custody or a modification. If there is a concern that he will hurt her this needs to be brought to the court's attention. If there is no real threat then you may have to just ignore the calls.
