Legal Question in Family Law in New York
Hello I have a question about child support. I live in NYC and I am currently married an have a new child with a medical condition also I was just diagnosed with a medical condition. I make 80000 a year and I'm being taken to child support court Tomm for two children I have with a different woman. My question is What is an estimate on the support she will recieve? I know it's 25% for two kids but due to my families medical issues I will not be able to support my family after they take 25% thank you chris

The judge will order the 25% unless you can convince him/her to do otherwise. It would be best if you can retain an attorney to appear with you and help make the argument. If you think you want to get a lawyer, you can appear at the hearing tomorrow and tell the judge that you are trying to retain an attorney... the judge will then likely grant an adjournment and tell you to come back with your lawyer at a later date.
