Legal Question in Family Law in New York
I sent in a question about my visitation being changed by my husband and the response I got was this.." he can not unilaterally change it without affording me an opportunity to oppose it on court". Can you please explain what that means a little clearer for me. Thank you very much.

In other words, he can't just go to court and modify an existing agreement or order by himself. You must be given an opportunity to respond to his request. If you need more info, call me at 212-913-9907. http://www.NYCDivorceCenter.com

In other words, he has to file papers and give you notice. You will then have the opportunity to answer his papers and explain your position to the court.
