Legal Question in Family Law in New York

questions on custody

I'm originally from San Antonio, TX and live in Depew, NY. I have no family here except my children. My question is if I get separated from my spouse can I move back to TX with my babies where I can better take care of them?

If your spouse objects to the relocation he can file a petition in court to prevent the move, seeking either visitation or custody or if you move can file a petition to have you return.
