how do I go about receiving low income public assistance in regards to legal help---I am on dialisis and can't afford the cost---and I need to start selling the house---because I can't afford to live in it---with being divorced ---is there some kind f legal help aide I could qualify for? I am not sure if there is free legal help concerning the sale of the house. However, if there is equity in the house (house debt is lower than value), you may be able to retain an attorney that will be paid at closing.

Even before you retain an attorney to sell the house, you must first find a purchaser. I would contact a broker to help you list and sell the house.
