Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Okay, so I recently got kicked out of my house in Scranton, Pennsylvania, I moved in with my father in Farmington, New York. My mother would not give me any of my legal papers; such as: my birth certificate, social security card, or anything like that, so I basically had to start from scratch. Now my dad is trying to figure out custody and child support, because right now I live with him. He wants to make it so he pays child support for my brother, and she pays child support for me, I think that's fair. But now she's saying she wants to sign her rights over so she doesn't have to pay child support.

My question is, Can she do that?

Your father needs to discuss this with his attorney. He will discuss the facts with his attorney and provide a defense. While in court, your father can petition the court to obtain your things, including your birth certificate, social security, and other items left at your mothers.
