Legal Question in Family Law in New York

recently, my office has had alot of cases whereby single parents are seeking child support from their partners who are difficult to find. my attorney suggested that we should handle these cases on a one third contingency basis. what do you think?

I imagine that you are an attorney as well.

If the nonpaying parent was unable to be located through the NY Child Support Collection Unit, what makes you think that you will be more successful?

I do not think there is any ethical issue here, but more of an issue of practicality: CS is one of the most strictly enforced debts, so chances are is that if it wasn't already collected, it may not be now.

I don't thing you are allowed to charge contingency, I don't think this is ethical.
