Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Recover costs of putting spuse through college

In the early 1990's my wife and I were both needing to continue our education. At the time she was unable to find a job with sufficient income to support the family so it was agreed that she would go back to school to earn her degree while I worked 2 jobs to support the family and allow her to go to school, with the understanding that when she was done she would then support the family while I went back to school. After graduation she did get a good job but the income was not sufficient at the time to support the existing debt load. I began taking courses on a part time basis in anticipation of going to school full time as soon as it becam financially possible. She incurred over $60,000 in school loan debt during her education. She now is making sufficient income (over $70000. We are currently legally separated (over 2 years) and she has no intention of fulfilling her committment. Do I have any legal recourse?
