Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Refusal to support spouse. Refusal to help spouse with job search

I married in 11/01 moved to NY 12/01. Husband said he would pay for real estate license so I can get a job. he won't. will not give gas money for car. will not give money for bus. Will not help finacially in anyway, but spends money on other unknown things. Provides me with a place to live and food. Thats all. Can he be made to support me?I have no job, no money, no one to help me..
