Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Remarrying

I am in the process of getting a divorce here in the state of new york. I am with a man who is in the military and he may be restationed to another state. If I get remarried to this man, would I have to go to court or do I need permission from my ex in order to go be with him wherever he may go? My ex and I have been amicable only to the point where he has stated he does not want my daughter (5 years old) to leave the state. Any help would be appreicated. Thanks.

Re: Remarrying

Congratulations on your upcoming marriage.

You would be able to go where you please, but you would need permission to relocate with your daughter.

Good luck.
