Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Resuming Maiden Name

Been divorced for 13 years, but kept my married name. Divorce decree in 1993 said I could resume using my maiden name. Can I just resume using it now, or do I have to do something more formal? If so, what? Thanks for your help.

Re: Resuming Maiden Name

Just start using it. You may need to show the divorce judgment in some instances so make sure you have a copy.
