Legal Question in Family Law in New York

sale of martial house

When we got married and bought the house in 1994 we paid $142,500 for it.When we got divorced in 2000 I signed over my part of the house to get rid of my share of the marital debt. So now the ex has a new girl and they are getting married. So he is selling the house and moving with my children and her and her children. Actually sold the house . Sale price $329,000. My question is do I have any legal rights to any of the money he is making from the sale of the house. Or would it just be good faith if he gave me part of the money?

Re: sale of martial house

When you signed over the house you gave up ownership. You are not entitled to any of the profit unless you had a written agreement, signed by him, stating otherwise.
