Legal Question in Family Law in New York

No Savings and need advice with Allimony & Child Support

I've been married for 11 years and through out my marriage my husband has been a computer junky. This also means porn sites and the computer is in my daughters room. I could not take this anymore and asked him to leave. I have on-going chronic illnesses and my emotional health plays a big factor with flair-ups of physical pain. How can I obtain allimony and child support before we get divorced? And, what information do I need? I've sent 10 months of 2003 unemployed and I've only been working for 2 months and I do not have any savings.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

If you haven't filed for divorce yet you can go to Fam Court and petition for child support. If you have started divorce proceedings, you can request alimony/ch supp "pendente lite" which just means you are requesting the $$ now, pending the outcome of divorce. Since you have no funds, try contacting a legal services org in your area for assistance. Good Luck.
