Legal Question in Family Law in New York

separated

my wife and I haven`t lived together for about a year.I have had health trouble that has kept me from working,my wife agreed to give me $150.00 a week until I could get my health issues taken care of.She was doing it up until 2 weeks ago,now she refuses to help me out.Is there anything I can do legally or does she have the right to just say I`m not giving you any more money?

Re: separated

You would have to sue for separation or divorce. In the lawsuit you would ask for temporary maintenace in the amount of money previously given by your wife.

You really cannot wait on this issue since a delay of time will be looked at unfavorably by the Court.
