Legal Question in Family Law in New York
I have been separated from my wife for the past year and a half. She put an order of protection on me and claimed I abused to so she can get into a shelter however she constantly calls asking me to help her out with our kids but when she doesn't get her way or I say something she doesn't like, she wants to have me arrested. She always needs me to pick up the kids and claims that if i dont, they will starve or be left at school. We recently signed the divorce papers but she had them cancelled after she found out I had a new girlfriend and she has been harassing my girlfriend as well. However, as much as I want to stay away, I feel that I have to take care of my kids but I don't want to be around her because at any time she will call the police. Please help me figure out what to do.

If you want a divorce, you can get one regardless of her lack of consent. You can also get a parenting schedule so that you can see the kids without her around. You need to find a lawyer (like us) that knows how to do these things. Also, her harassment of your girlfriend may be illegal and you can put a stop to it. A good lawyer (like us) will cost some money, but might be well worth it. http://www.NYCDivorceCenter.com
