Legal Question in Family Law in New York

I have been separated from my ex for 10 years. I have not seen him or heard from him for 8. I finally filed for an uncontested divorce, Now he said he wants to see the kids.He hasn't seen or called them in the 8 years and in the two years before that he seen them less than 10 times. They are 14 and 12. They don't know him and don't want to go with him. Will the courts decide in his favor? Do they have a say?

If he takes you to court for visitation you should request that the court appoint a law guardian for the children.
