Separation and my child
If I separate from my wife and only see my child from Fridays to Mondays, while still supporting him, do I risk losing custody of him in a divorce proceeding?

If you leave your child in the custody of your spouse during a separation, you will have the burden of showing why custody should be changed after a divorce.
