What is the legal status of a duly executed marital separation/settlement agreement that was not filed with the court?

Re: separation/settlement agreement

So long as it is filed before the action for

divorce is commenced, it can still be the

basis of a conversion divorce

it is also a separate and enforceable

contract with or without filing
