Legal Question in Family Law in New York

A seperation agreement is filed in 1996 and married couple seperated for 6 months and then reunited for 14 years and then seperated again for 6 months. Can that orginial seperation agreement be used to file a divorce with two 6 month seperations 14 years apart qualify for divorce in New York State?
