Legal Question in Family Law in New York

seperation agreement wife's lawyer drew up agreement

My friend, while under personel pressure, signed a separation agreement drawn up by his wife's lawyer. No other lawyer viewed the document.

Is this contract valid? Does it fall under a statue of limitations?

Thank you.

The statute of limitations is not at play here. The issue is whether your firend was competent to enter into a marital separation agreement and whetehr any undue influence was used to gain one. Your friend should speak to an attorney.
