Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Did I sign a deed?

I don't remember if I signed the house over to my ex wife before we got divorced. How can I find out if I signed or not. My ex wife went on to sell the house and I was not at the closing nor did I receive any money from the sale of the home.

You can view New York City property records through the Register's office online - search "ACRIS" and you should find it easily.

Re: Did I sign a deed?

If you were on the title with your wife, you would have had to sign a deed conveying the property to her.

Check with your divorce attorney or the county clerk where the property is located.
