Re: spousal support

Spousal support determinations are made on the basis of examination of the factors relating to the individual relationship - but under the limited circumstances you describe, such a request doesn't seem reasonable.

You should consult a matrimonial attorney - the relatively small cost will save you headaches in the long run.

Re: spousal support

Did you sign a written agreement obligating you to support her? If not, tell her to get packing and have a nice life. She doesn't have a leg to stand on- you guys were never married, so she is not entitled to spousal support. In essence, she is threatening you with a palimony suit - which is unrecognizable in NY, unless there is a lawful written agreement.
