Legal Question in Family Law in New York

My spouse and I own a piece of real estate together, but we also hold a piece of real estate each that we held prior to our marriage. Our preliminary conference is approaching, and I was wondering if the judge is likely to order all three properties to be appraised. Is it standard for a judge to order all real estate owned by the husband and wife to be appraised on the off-chance it is marital?

Each case is different. However, there may be other reasons for the appraisal, including the increase in value of the property due to the other spouse's efforts, the income stream of the properties, etc.

If you are dealing with several pieces of property, you need a lawyer to represent you in your divorce. It is apparent that this isn't a simple divorce where the spouses have no assets or liabilities.
