Legal Question in Family Law in New York

My step parents have custody of my 15 yr old, now the want to adopt her and since I have said no to this they refuse to let me see or speak to her for almost a year. Can the adoption still go through without my consent to it?

No. Adoption may not proceed without the consent of the parent. Furthermore, you have the right to petition the Court for visitation and contact.
