Legal Question in Family Law in New York

My ex and I have a stipulation agreement that says any medical expenses for our children in the amount of $300 or more I am allowed to get a second opinion. She got braces put on our son without telling me. Now she wants me to pay for them.I am I responsible since she did not notify me or give me any records other than a bill?

You just answered the question yourself. If the braces were more than $300 then maybe not.
