Legal Question in Family Law in New York

how do i stop child support?

I have recently obtained full custody of my 2 boys from their mother. I have been paying child support to her.Now that they are in my legal custody I need the support to stop, and she must pay me back support from Dec. 9, 2006. This is the date that she threw them 11 and 12 years old out of her house. I feel as though I am getting the run-around. There must be a simple, easy way to stop paying her. I need this money to give the boys the proper living conditions and things that they need.

If there is an Order of Support issued by Family Court then you must go to the court and file a Petition to terminate support and maybe seek support from her. And when you go you must inform the court that you overpaid since the boys were living with you. You can contact me at my website at www.traceyabloodsaw.com
