Legal Question in Family Law in New York

i'm in the military stationed overseas and i just found out i'm the biological father of a 6 year old. the court has order me to pay child support which i have no problem doing.but what i want to know is can the judge force me to put the child under my health insurance?? although the mother of the child has health insurance for the child and medicaid??

Yes. But, how was the determination of paternity made, without your presence?

Was a blood test or DNA test done? If not, then you should contest or protest the Judgment until and unless such proofs are made.
