Being sued for inheritance from ex son-in-law

my daughter was married & now she is divorced the ex husband has custody of the 3 children, my husband (her father) has passed away. we own a business for 37 yrs. & now the ex husband is sueing me personally & my company for her share of her inheritance.

Unless there is something very unusual about the settlement in your daughter's divorce case, the ex husband is entitled to nothing. Absent explicit agreement to the contrary, inheritances are not marital property, and, further, the inheritance, it seems was NOT something given during the marital period.
