Legal Question in Family Law in New York
Can I be sued over this?
We are living in NJ since 2002 but this case is in NY.
My ex husband sued me for custody around 2002 while I was visiting my parents. I initiated a divorce shortly after that but he continued to take me to court several times claiming I ''Denied him'' his son. The last time the judge threw the case out due to his lack of evidence. All he had were the original agreements and his stepsister to lie for him and say she was there. His mother has also lied for him in the past during court proceedings. It has been almost five years now and he has not kept to the agreement at all. He does not call twice a week as per the agreement, send letters, or try to visit. Recently, he called while I was out. I called back and left a message however can he take me to court again over ''Being denied'' his son? I cannot make him visit or be a father but he sure seems to like getting his ''rights''
What should I do in this situation?
