Legal Question in Family Law in New York

support question

for the last 4yrs i've been paying child support of 403, the child is fully covered under my health and dental insurance. i was never married to the mother. she is taking me back to court for an increase in cs because i got promoted and got a raise which isn't much, she states she has had an increase in child expenses. when the cs order was done i did not have a child, but i do now, will the judge take that into consideration i have someone else to take care of. i mean the reasons why she says she has had an increase in expenses are for luxuries and not necessities. i'm afraid the judge will look at my case and see that i'm married and the other woman is a single mother so she should get more money?

Re: support question

The CSSA guidelines should give you an idea of what kind of money that the mother can get. If you believe that the mother is being excessive, I suggest that you get a local family court lawyer to help you out. You cannot fight this alone.
