Legal Question in Family Law in New York

temporary spousal support

I am curious as to the options that I may or may not have, in november 05 my stbx was awarded temporary spousal support and has since refused to show up for court and constantly adjorns the court dates.

The problem is that the award she received was enormous. literally since november based on what I have made, which is what I told the judge then, I have been alotted $62 per month for myself, to provide all living expenses as well as expenses for when I have my children.

I now have a different judge than I did back in november, but what I want to know is there realistically anything I can do against the other judge? whether it be filing a complaint or suing or anything? I am at a loss. she has single handedly put me into bankruptcy and well below the poverty threshold.

question #2 is will stbx and her lawyer really get into any trouble for not showing up to last court appearance? or will it just be an annoyance to the judicial system

Sorry so long but thank you for all your help in this matter.

Re: temporary spousal support

Unfortunately, a sizable award of temporary support rewards delay. I would suggest requesting a conference with the judge so that she would be aware of the delay tactics.
