Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Temporary visits for child

I am a Domestic Violence mother who has been separated from her abusive husband for 2 years. we have a two year old together. He has not been in her life since he left except to come and act up at the childs bitrthday parties. He now wants visitation of the child and has gotten temporary visits each week. The problem is can I have his vists terminated? He still verbably abusive and the order of protection does not intimidate him. he refuses to obey the visitation location and takes the child away from the area and threatens to take the child away. He has no apartment but lives with his mistress. he brings her to the visits to intimadate me, to no avail. please help me i'm going to court tomorrow and am worrried he will win and they will believe his lies. He is a very spiteful person and a con artist. He has claimed our child on his taxes and never has given me child support or spousal support. please help me....

Re: Temporary visits for child

If he has violated the Order of Protection, you can file a violation petition. You can also call the police and they will arrest him.

If you believe the visitation is not in your child's best interests, you can petition the court to have the visitation supervised.

Hope this helps.
