terminating fathers rights
my boyfriend wants to adopt my kids and i would like to know i can get my kids fathers rights terminated? also if my boyfriend adopts my kids does that make him legally and financially responsible for my kids til their 21 years old?

IF your ex will agree to terminating the rights then you can go to court and ask that your new Boyfriend be named as their father. However He will have to prove to the court that a) it is the best interest of the kids to do this and that b) that he has the financial wherewithal to adopt them. Finally yes if he will be responsible for them until at least age 18 and then beyond to 21 if they decide to go to college.
