Legal Question in Family Law in New York

travelling with child

I live in NY, while in RI I became pregnant. whe I was one month pregnant the father signed up for and left for the Military. when the baby was born, I did not put his name on the birth certificate. I did not ask for shild support and I wanted him to have the least amount of legal access to her as possible. he and his family saw the baby once. I do not have a problem with them seeing her. now they want me to come there with the baby to visit them. would that set any type of legal precident that I think it is alright for the baby to go out of the state to see them or to be around them? what legal rights do they have? what would be your advice in this situation?

Re: travelling with child

Your question is unclear. You can travel anywhere you want with the child.

He has no rights now but he can assert them at any time in a legal proceeding.

If you want you can assert he is the father and ask for child support.
