Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Is it true I can go to another state/country and get a quick divorce

I have two children who are not for my husband (one was born during the marriage) The marriage has been going downhill about two years before my 2nd child and since the child was born it never got back on tracd. My problem is this I have these two children the older one 36 years and holding her own fort, but the other is 14 and I would hate to see my husband takes everything from her being the husband. How do I go about getting a divorce without my having to pay him any money. What is an Uncontested divorce?

Why you think you would be required to support your ex husband, when you are still raising and supporting your minor child, is confusing to me.

As is your considering going to another state to divorce, with the idea that another state's laws would apply to property, rights and obligations subject to NY jurisdiction.

Good luck,
