Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Vacating Order of Protection

I have a temporary restraining order on someone who has moved out and is no longer in my life. I don't want to go to court (which is in about 2 weeks) and would rather leave well enough alone. How do I drop or vacate the order of protection? I live in Manhattan.

If the matter is in criminal court, speak to the DA. If this is your petition in family court, you should appear and request that the court dismiss your petition.
