Do I have to give the father of my infant child visitation without a court order stating the father has visitational rights?

You are not required to do so, but its the right thing to do and can weigh against you if there are later court actions.

If the father is legally as well as physically the father, then it is best to give visitation.

By giving visitation now, you retain greater control of the situation in the future. The court will grant visitation by judicial order. If yiou grant visitation now, you will retain more control over the nature, duration, and circumstances of visitation now and in the future.

Denying visitaion will weaken your opportunity to bring other important matters to the attention of the court.
