My wife and I do not speak to my father and his wife. Can he get visitation rights to see my children (his grandchildren)?

Re: Visitation

Under limited circumstances he can apply for it, but if the child's parents have a legitimate reason for keeping children away from their grandparents, courts will give deference.

Should you like to discuss this or any other legal matter you can e-mail me for more information about low cost face-to-face, on-line or a telephone consultation with a lawyer in our office.

Re: Visitation

Generally gradparents are not entitled to visitation and the parents have absolute control as to what amount of time kids spend with their grandparents... there have been cases in the past where the courts have made decsions stating this rule.
