yes i wanted to know if me and my husband are married in the united states but now he is back in his country which is Dominican Republic can i get a divore from him for adultry and abandanment?

Generally, the answer is yes. You would also have grounds under the "no fault" divorce law. However, no matter what, you would have to personally serve your husband the divorce papers in the Dominican Republic, or obtain an order for alternate service if you are unable to do so.
