Legal Question in Family Law in New York
Ex wife has failed to appear on order to show cause summons and a prehearing conference regarding visitation and property distribution she has stated the only way you will get me to court is in handcuffs for your kids to see what you have done to me . Have done all legal proceedings myself but too much at stake now for a mistake looking for a lawyer and any advice on what the judge may do.

The judge can do an inquest which is a form of trial without the opposing party (your wife) present. If the judge feels you have proper evidence of you side, they can issue a default judgment granting you the relief you seek.
