Legal Question in Family Law in New York

My ex wife and I have joint custody and she has taken my son out of the current state where we live and moved him to another state.She is not providing the address of where they moved. Please advise my rights.

Assuming that this move prevents you from visitation with the child you can move through the Family Court system to either require her to return or to change custody - or seek relief somewhere in between. This is something that you should do quickly if you intend to do it at all.

You'll probably need the assistance of an attorney in drafting the paperwork.
