Legal Question in Family Law in New York

My wife and I are currently pursuing a legal seperation after almost 7 years of marriage. We have two children together aged 5 and 2. There has been no abuse on either side it's just a matter of growing apart. I have been considering moving out of the house, but do not know what the legal ramifications of this action would be. I plan on waiting until after we sign the seperation agreement to take this course of action after discussing it with my wife first. If you could please tell me if there is any negative consequences of this such as abandonment I would really appreciate it!

There is no negative consequence. The records of a divorce are sealed, available only to the parties and their attorneys.

However, most divorces that are done on consent are done on the grounds of constructive abandonment.
