Legal Question in Family Law in New York

My wiys a monthly pass on the long island railroad that claims to be non transferable. Since husbands wives share property, don't I own that ticket as much as she does? Does the rail road have the right to force husbands and wives to waive their right to communal property?

I totally agree with you, however, the railroad is correct. They have an agreement/contract with the first person (considered the owner) to use the monthly ticket. In purchasing the ticket you (first user also) agree to be bond by the terms and conditions of the agreement which includes a non-transferability clause.
