Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Working off the books

I lived with my child's father for 5 years; we weren't legally marry. I left him in october of 2005. at that time he was working on the books, but still wasn't supporting his daughter. i took him to court in various occations but he wouln't show up. now he is working off the books and i know where he works and all the his information. Can I take him to court for child support and let the judge know where he works? will they investigate? He keeps telling me that he would denied that he is working, is there anyway to go about this?

Re: Working off the books

I appologize for taking so long in answering your question.

I would take him to family court and present the information you currently have. I would get an attorney to work in this. The reason for the attorney is that an attorney representing you will be able to get the authority to work on discovery (investigate) of the information you need and get it from him. I would give the attorney or the court any information you have including if you have copies of the pay stubs from his former job.
