Legal Question in Family Law in New York

New York Divorces

I am from TN but I reside in NY with my wife and daughter, age 5. My wife has on 4 different occasions committed adultry with 4 different men, walked out on us on 3 different occasions. And gave me an STD. I am done and want out of this marriage but she told me that in NY I had to be seperated from her for a year and could not move my daughter back to TN. What are my options? She has a lawyer do I need one too?

Re: New York Divorces

If you have lived in New York for one year you can flle for divorce here. If the grounds is adultery there is no requirement of a separation agreement. Custody would be something determined as part of the divorce proceeding.

If you'd like to arrange a consultation to discuss the specifics, please feel free to get in touch.
