New York Divorce-Who can serve him papers?

My ex husband refuses to give me a phone number or address. I want to serve him with divorce papers but I don't know where he lives. It's been 6 years now and I want this over with. Can anyone like an in-law, friend, cousin or whatever serve him when he comes to see his kids?

Yes, so long as that person is over 18 years of age, and can sign the affidavit of service.

Anyone who isn't party to the action and who is 18 years old can serve the papers on your husband.
