Legal Question in Family Law in New York

In New York State do you have to continue paying child support if the child is over 18, there is not any proof that this child who is an adult is working or attending college full-time.

In New York, a parent's obligation to pay support for his/her child continues until that child reaches age 21, unless the child is otherwise emancipated. However, the fact that a child is working does not always render that child emancipated. Every case is different, so speak to an attorney about your particular facts.
