Just copy what I have written here and return it to the court and opposing counsel and then consult an attorney. This response (1-4, all of it) will avoid forfeiting any defense and is sufficient to avoid a default judgment.
1. the defendant denies the jurisdiction of the court
2. the defendant denies the jurisdiction of the court because of inadequate service of process.
3. the defendant pleads the statute of limitations.
4. the defendant denies each and every allegation of the complaint.
Called an Answer
And the differnce is whether it contains a General denial,or specific ones, with affirmative defenses or not, and with or without counterclaims.
