bounced check

a friend gave me a loan for 7000.00

in a personal check drawn on a e-trade account. it bounced and now my account is over drawn by 5000.00. what recourse do i have. i now can't get in touch with him.

You can sue him for passing a fraudulent check. Please check out ucc article 9 for more details. I would sue him/her in either small claims or civil court. If you would like an attorney to assist you call your local bar association for a referral.
